I’m Gabriela, and together with my partner, we’ve built a life rooted in our shared love for Greece.

For years we explored its mountains, coastlines, villages, and islands, and the more time we spent here, the clearer it became that this was home. So we made the move from Romania with our family: my son, David, and our loyal companion, Jack.

Today we live in Chiliadou, a small village on the Gulf of Corinth, a few minutes from Nafpaktos. This is where Orama Oikos takes shape: two guest maisonettes, Thalassa and Elia, next to the house where we live.

Orama Oikos is about slow travel and personal hosting. We want our guests to have time: to swim in a quiet bay, walk through villages most visitors pass by, eat where the locals eat, and get to know this coast the way we have.

I’ve been a photographer for over 22 years, and much of what I share here comes from documenting the places around us, honestly and as they are.

None of this is happening overnight. It came from years of travel, reflection, and careful planning, and from a lot of practical work once we arrived.

Here we share the journey: life in the village, the places we love along the Gulf of Corinth, and what it means to build something lasting in a new country.
